For a number of months, a small team of producers and directors got together to work on a short film for a term-ending project. After hearing the movie pitch I became very intrigued in the story and the opportunity to create sound for it. As the year-end neared, the production crew completed the shoot and delivered a locked cut ready for audio post production. Short films such as this one contain barely any dialogue which opens up the creative door to directing the movie with sound.

Award winning graduation film NO-A completed at the Savannah College of Art and Design by a core team of 8 students.

"The world is a desolate, unforgiving place in this action sci-fi with a surprising amount of heart. We follow NO-A (Noah), as he attempts to rescue Aixa, the young woman that created him. In his desperate attempt to save her, he must face an unknown enemy force and fight to keep them both alive."

This was a personal project I decided to take on. It challenged myself to engage in theory and realism combined with digital tools. All the elements of quality sound design. I stripped the original video of all audio and recreated the movie's entire soundscape. All sounds were digitally synthesized and processed in Ableton Live. The sounds were sequenced with the video in Pro Tools.

During my time at Trebas I had been offered to work on a short film production, 'Skin Deep'. It was an exciting first official project for me and I thoroughly enjoyed working with such a talented production team. After almost two months and a few progress meetings the post audio production was complete and the team were very happy with the outcome of the sound.
